JOB DESCRIPTION: Client is seeking an Automation Test Engineer with experience in accessibility testing to join an exciting initiative to remediate critical websites in compliance with WCAG. The Accessibility Test Engineer will focus on developing, modifying, and executing automation and manual software test cases; analyzing and writing test plans and standards and procedures and maintaining documentation of results. You will work closely with Business Analysts, Architects, Developers, and other Test Engineers to analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate testing, as well providing functional accessibility testing.

Your future duties and responsibilities

  • Leverage tools like Deque Axe to define and implement accessibility testing for critical websites, and integrate those tools into existing test automation frameworks.
  • Be knowledgeable and passionate about accessibility, WCAG compliance, and test automation best practices.
  • Be able to explain to development teams why automated testing matters
  • Help teams integrate BDD into their development process
  • Help teams increase the use of TDD
  • Work with others across the company to increase overall code quality through a shift-left approach

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

  • Strong experience implementing automation testing solutions using Selenium and other test automation tools/frameworks.
  • 5+ years’ experience writing test automation scripts
  • 2+ years of functional Accessibility or ADA/WCAG compliant testing, using accessibility tools including Deque Axe core libraries
  • An understanding of the difference between TDD, BDD, integration testing, smoke/sanity testing, regression testing, and acceptance testing
  • Proven ability to stay current with emerging technologies and new applications of existing technologies, through work or continuing industry or education involvement.
  • Proven experience collaborating with multiple teams, including business unit teams, to deliver solutions through all aspects of the SDLC required.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and build trusted relationships with others
